Hi everyone! In this week’s post I’m sharing with you my version of Burda 7220 (option A). It’s a fun & loose fitting blouse that’s lightweight and can double as a dress (if you stitch further down the sides).

Pattern – Burda 7220:

I really like the details of this pattern, right down to the loose sleeves. I love the length, neckline and gathers at the front…which when you add all that up equals the entire shirt! It calls for a button to close the front neckline, but I used a hook and eye instead because I wanted to keep it hidden.

Fabric:

I love love love the navy blue and white starred print on this fabric. I had it lying around in my bin of fabrics for a while and thought it give this blouse the perfect amount of edge. I’ve seen other versions online that are made with linen and it looks perfect for the summer, so I’ll definitely be making this one again in a brighter and even lighter fabric.

Styling:

This is a really fun blouse to style. You can see here that I’m wearing it with flats, but it looks really slick and amped up with pumps. Necklaces are a bit hard to wear with it because of the neckline so wearing a choker is a good option.

Final Thoughts:

If you’re looking for an easy DIY that’s modern & flowy, I would definitely give this one a shot. It doesn’t take long to make and is really fun to style!  I’d love to hear your thoughts on this so get in touch and leave a comment! See  below for more photos.

xo!
