Boredom. That’s what was going on the night I came up with this cute two tier gathered skirt.
I had this fabric around forever and wasn’t sure what to do with it. This is somewhat of a problem that I have…you know, having so many ideas that I can’t commit to one…and then I end up making nothing!
So I said screw it, I’m bored. Just make something.
The skirt consists of two layers are just simple rectangles that I gathered. They’re 70″ wide and have a 4″ difference in length. And I blind stitched the hem by hand.
Super simple I tell ya!
I’ve worn this skirt a few times already and it’s so versatile. I wore it to my friend’s wedding, paired with the organza crop top I made – it looked super chic and sophisticated! I’ve also worn it with a chunky sweater which looks great too.
Here, I’m pairing it with a simple t-shirt and penny loafers. Whadhya think?
Shirt: Zara | Flats: Saks 5th Ave | Bangle: Kate Spade

Hi there, I massively need a skirt like this in my wardrobe! What sort of weighted fabric did you use? Becca
so glad you like! this is a linen. it’s a bit heavier and has a little stretch to it.
