Fringe! I like fringe. Who doesn’t? Oddly enough though, I didn’t really have any fringe in my closet (except on the dupattas for this cream and black lengha and floral lengha…but I don’t really count those. Look at me, making rules up as I go :P)

Anyhow, I had a bunch of material lying around and decided that before I go buy any more, I’m going to use up all of my existing fabric to make room for more. I spent days thinking about what I wanted to make. I didn’t have much material left to use, so this is what I came up with. It’s a self drafted tank top with side slits and I added white fringe to give it some detail.

To draft something similar, grab your fav tank, add an inch to each side at the underarm and cut straight down to the bottom. Make sure your neck is wide enough to slip over your head. To attach the fringe, I used HeatnBond Iron On Adhesive which is much better than stitching it on, in my humble opinion. It’s easy to apply and leaves the fabric and fringe looking completely smooth.

I’ve worn this top differently a few times. I can dress it up with black skinnies or faux leather leggings or dress it down completely with sneakers and shorts. Melikes the versatility!
