Let me tell you a bit about my style: I have a real tendency to wear darker colours, whites and grays. I try to incorporate colours, but really…it doesn’t usually end up working out! So using this fabric was definitely my attempt at that!! And it totally worked out! I love this top so much that I have to try not to wear it. #ForReal

K, so here’s the story: I was bored on a Sunday morning, decided to make a shirt. Boom. That’s it! I got off my lazy butt and just went for it.

I based this off of another top I have. All I did was lay it on top of the fabric, cut around it (I didn’t even chalk or measure anything!), and then stitched that bad boy together. Took me about 2 hours – not too bad considering I didn’t use a pattern…right? Although in hindsight, I feel like it should less than that. I like to think that the #ProStyles version of me would be able to do it in half an hour. Check back in a year! haha

Anyhow, the material was easy to work with and pretty cheap too ($4/m – on sale from Fabricland) – definitely should have bought more!! But I think I might have been scared of the colour, so I stayed away. Ah, next time.
